Don’t pay too much for insurance

Many people assume that they are getting the best deal on insurance – especially if they have been with the same insurer for many years. However, that is not necessarily the case.

Check competitive rates online. Use a search string like “insurance quotes” and find out what other companies are charging for home and contents, vehicle and life insurance, etc. Based on your research, even if you are reluctant to switch insurers, you can always ask your current insurer to reduce your premium.

Invest less than an hour online, and make one phone call. That could be all it takes to lower your insurance expenses by hundreds of dollars.

You may also find that you qualify for discounts if you bundle your different policies with one company.
